I chose to go with typeface 3 and build off of that. Here's the digitized result:

 

Bitmap Typeface part 1

Our assignment was to explore bitmap fonts using found objects. I chose to use some old washers I had lying around the house. Using a grid, I laid out three different letter forms, from which I will create my bitmap. Here are the three designs I came up with:
